had a claim at work .got 1200 uk pounds .will be having new boy a second time and no more.. at or on march 11 ish if ``mummy`` is on time . .lost me `puter room.was looking at a tosh lap top a210-1b3 or sony media centre vgx-tp1e..i do a lot of burning disks for back up purposes

got ps3 60 gig uk version
22 inch hd monitor 1080i only .still looks the nutzzzz
320 gig external hdd
external multi format dvd writer


laptop is 480 uk
sony is 650 uk
money not an issue upto 1200uk
wanna make the right choice been shoved into a spare room 9x6 prison cell .

do lap tops hook upto a monitor?

Hello there, Lol @ the claim, but anyway, onto your question

Yes, modern laptops, but check before you buy, usually have a VGA port on the side from which you plug a VGA cable from the laptop to the computer monitor... You then "usually" have to press either Control or Alt and an F key, but as I say, not always...

Just make sure both your laptop and monitor have a VGA port on :) Then you should be okay

went to pc world to buy a sony vaio media /pc thingy tptxxx something ,was only one left and a shop display one at that .they wanted 650uk for it.would not reduce it at any cost .walked out . went another shop, got a samsung LE 40 M 86 BD from another shop. played drake for the second time played it on a 22 monitor ,watched casino royale in full 1080 p ,freebie from sony with ps3 .pc input to boot .various other inputs ,chuffed to bits .
