original software problems!!!

hi,
i have recently purchased a few original xbox games like lotrrotk, worms 3d, and when i insert them the xbox logo comes on and thats a sfar as it gets!
i have a matrix chip with evox 4979.6 bios and slayers v 2.0 i have recently just updated my bios to the one i now have but still the same thing happens! :(

what do i have to do?

do i need the updated version of slayers?

??

any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

If they are originals why don't you just turn off the chip and play them with the M$ dashboard?

i cant do that cuz i have a 80gb hdd and my m$ bios does not support it. :(

you could just try to set your xbox clock to the correct time this happens with alot of original games on a chipped xbox

i think that might be the problem!!! :)

but i seem to have lost my original m$ dash so i cant ajust my time :(

any ideas?

has anyone got a copy of the factory settings so i could do it?

If you lock your HDD then you'll be able to use it with the original M$ dashboard
