Updating Argon, Few questions

Im trying to update my argon for the first time with the Programmer. I got everything I need but I have a question...

The blue strip you connect to the Programmer ... how do you actually ensure its installed? It doesnt just slide into the thing, I dont really understand what I'm suppose to do with it.

Also, how do I find out which Chip ID I have... because the new update is for 2 diff versions of the chip, and I have no idea which to use.

Look on top of the Modchip chipset which will say a3p125 or a3p250.

You can also tell by the ID code when programing it.

IDCODE = 2a121cf = A3P125
IDCODE = 2a141cf = A3P250

You connect the Flat Cable blue side up. There is a little brown clip on the Modchip and the Programmer that pulls out. Then slide the flat cable in then push the brown clip back in to secure it tightly.

Thanks, the updates wouldnt let me update w/ the wrong update anyways, said it was invalid so I used the other and worked like a charm, thanks for the info man.
