flashing firmware and burning backups with laptop?

Ok so I have a Dell inpirion E1705 laptop and I wanted to flash my xbox 360 dvd drive and burn backup xbox games so I was thinking about getting this settup.

I want to put this expresscard for sata hookup. Will I be able to flash my hitachi 0047 with this sata card?

And then after done flashing drive I want to add this internal dual layer drive to burn backup games.(using as an external).

Will my laptop recognize this dvd drive if I hook it up through the esata drive and allow me to burn discs? Is this all I should need seeing how the sata cable comes with the burner? Any info would be appreciated

neither one of your pages will work for me. but if you get a dvd burner and put it in an enclosure, you can run it via usb or firewire and it will work just fine.

Sorry I updated the links should work now. I wanted to run the dvd burner off the express sata card.. Is that all I need to run it?
