I recently picked up a PS2 3000-1 with a network adapter and a 80 gig HD. I wanted to mod it but I have no idea what to do or how to go about it. can somebody please explain this to me thanks.

You can either do a hard mod or soft mod.
Hard mod - modchip (soldering skills required) difficult for beginner.
Soft mod - MC exploit, Swapmagc, Action Replay, etc. (doesn't require soldering) easier for beginner.

Hard mods are much better in the long run compared to soft mods.
Let me know which one you want to go with and I'll guide you through the process.

I'm really good with electronics when it comes to computers and car audio so I can solder like a champ but i got some info for a softmod that I might try first. I've got everything to do it but If i get stuck i'll give u another post. thanks.
