Easily ripped with AnyDVD 6315. The oft-updated programs like, DVDFAb, should handle this with ease.
It's a Sony movie so when you blank all the extra trailers, it'll be like a 6 gig movie. Minus the foreign language tracks, it'll be a very nice compression rate.
I also picked up Beowulf and Darjeeling Limited. I'll do those next.

I'm picking this one, and the others you mentioned, later on today. Good to know there's no special problem associated with this title.
I'll post back with the results utilizing DvdFab HD

I like doing these posts early for all the guys that have to pick up the movies at night. When they get here, they'll know what works ;)
But, yeah, I won't be able to do these early posts/rips for like the next two weeks. Damn spring training is starting up and I gotta be at work earlier than usual. F'n responsibility! lol

Mr. Pink-- I saw that you were successful with 30 days of night. Could you tell me what program(s) you used. I am not having any luck with SHRINK, Rip or DVD FAB. (I am a real novice). Thanks

There is nothing special about this movie. You may have a bad press.
Try giving the disc a real good cleaning and try again.

Agree. Must be a bad press. I took Dialysis' word for it and used Shrink only.
No problems. This one was a breeze.
So, to recant on my previous post here...i didn't try it with DvdFab as it worked with Dvd Shrink just fine.

I couldn't believe this was even posted.. Haven't seen a disk with this little protection on it in ages. No forced subs on the version I grabbed from the local store today.. are you guys doing the US version or the Euro.. (this one is clearly labeled region 3.. asian dvd store.. lots of bollywood and hong kong fighting films..really cool guys)
If you can't back this up with the tools listed above maybe you should think about mastering the phrase "do you want fries with that?"

The english forced subs are displayed when the vampires speak. It doesn't show forced subs in Shrink but you can view them with DVDSubEdit.

With that being said, i'm willing to bet we still see a Help with 30 days of night thread pretty soon. Lol.
I don't think i'd want the person who can't back this one up serving me fries.
Oh, and BTW, mine was the R1.

Don't know what to say. Dvd Fab Decrypter, Dvd Shrink 3.2, and my trusty Nero 6.3.0.3 got it done. Shouldn't be a problem unless your useing a Decrypter that's out of date. The latest Dvd Fab Decrypter should fix er' up. And get r' done.

Just as a goof, when I got back home, I ripped this again with the latest DVDFab. There weren't any problems. Everyone else here has given their own remedies.

I guess I have a bad press then. I tried ripping it with dvd fab, and it gave me an error reading message about half-way thru the disk. I was trying to rip the entire disk. Haven't checked if I can just get the movie, tho.

Either try doing Main Movie...or skip DvdFab and use Shrink by itself. This one was a breeze.

Must be a bad press -- which are becoming more prevalent these days. Exchange your copy for a new one, and try again.
