Does anyone know how to change the default to boot to dash instead of game?? If I have a game in the dvd drive when I start my xbox it plays the game. I want it to go to dashboard. Yes its softmodded.
Please help.

in new to this also but i think u would go to settings on your softmodded dash and edit the launch text

There is an option under the dashboard, you'll have to go to settings.

Well, what dash are you using? You could probably just google you question with what dash you use and get the directions, or just tell us the dash and I'll tell you how to do it. Another thing you can do, is surf all your options (without changing any) and that way you become familiar with your dash and all of it's capabilities.

Im new to this softmod thing so im not sure but the instructions i have mention EvolutionX and evox.ini. I seen the forum for AID and it sounds much better is there a way I can install AID and get rid of the other Dash EvolutionX. Also it says with the softmod I have now the max hdd upgrade is 200 Gb. Can you install a larger hdd with AID?

I can see a brick coming..
evox is the best and most stable dash.
system settings is where you need to go, but not booting a game that is in the drive when you power up isn't always possible..just turn all the autorun settings to off.. maybe it will, maybe not. Just start up with the eject button to avoid the problem altogether ;)

That is having faith...im not going to brick my xbox.
Tried that but when I do so it shows a matrix looking screen and it goes to the some menu.

AID isn't a dash, it is a program that lets you install different dashes as well as a host of other things. Your 200g limit is erronious, I run evolutionx as my dash and have a 320g HDD in it. I agree with Varnull concerning evolutionx. I like it for it's simplicity and stability. When you turn on your console, what does the dash look like? Does it say Evolutionx? I'll look at mine tonight and I'll post a couple screen shots of where to change it with evolutionx. I also run Unleashx, avolaunch and xbmc as apps, so if it is one of them instead I can get you the directions on where that is changed for them. But seriuosly you should poke around in your dash (WITHOUT, and I repeat without changing anything and see what is what).
