Want to stay safe on Xbox Live? Well this guide will help!!

Recently (in the past few days) Microsoft have banned a small number of consoles, for which we know the reason.

The reason behind these bannings is that some releases of games are unsafe and have an invalid CRC, which means they are not identical (1:1) copies of the retail disk.

Guide:

In order to check whether the release you have is safe or not you can visit the website called 'ABGX' <-- you should be able to find this with a little Googling FPRIVATE "TYPE=PICT;ALT="

This site contains a list of Xbox 360 game releases and has a column called 'Bad CRC or Needs Fixing'. If this is the case you need to open your ISO in a program called XDVDMulleter <-- this can also be found with a bit of Googling!

Once you have run XDVDMulleter you will be given a choice of options. Choose 'View ISO Details' and press Next.

You then click on the 'Browse' button and select your ISO. Click 'Load File' and once the ISO has loaded, click Next.

You will then be taken to a screen with a lot of information about the ISO. You can look at the different checks Mulleter has performed but they are not vital at this time. You should now click on the 'CRC Checking' tab at the bottom.

Now click on the 'AutoFix' button. XDVDMulleter will run a number of tests and download the necessary security files from its online database. This database contains valid 1:1 security files from retail releases and is maintained by people who have the hardware and retail disks to provide these files.

Once your ISO has been autofixed you should run the AutoFix again just to make sure. If the ISO is safe you will be given this message:

'Stealth all checked out OK, but for maximum security it is also recommended that you check the Game Data partition. This may take a LONG time.'

You SHOULD click on Yes now, but it is not 100% vital. Do not be put off by the fact it may take a long time, this is only if you are testing a burnt disk - the ISO should load pretty fast.

And there you have it - that was my quick guide to not getting banned from Xbox Live for having unsafe games.

UPDATE: There is another check which should now be performed on all games!

NOTE: This is only if you use anything older than iXtreme 1.4

And also, why is this process not suitable for iextreme1.4. What is necessary for that version of firmware?

look the safest way to not get banned is to make back-ups yourself..and run the newest firmware..if your afraid of getting banned then dont play on live.
