Im thinking of moding my 360 is the XBox NME-360 2.0 Modchip the best thing out there. A mod-chip will be better than messing with the dvd drive firmware?

If your asking opinions about which is better ,I'm sure about 95 percent will say firmware is better.You stand more of a chance messing it up with a modchip.As far as detection goes I think the last major ban was prob a 50/50 mix of bans.But if you decide to go Modchip go with the infectious chip as down the road you will be able to do alot more with it then just bypass dvd firmware you can use it for multi bios.

i would say neither, its just as easy to research about modding it yourself for about half an hour, then get a great tutorial (there are load son this site) and follow that. Them things are, in my opinion, a waste of money. They are good for if you are changing the firmware every 5 minutes, but with a new firmware coming out every, month-2months, its not really worth it.

flashing the drive would surely be the easiest. It also would have quicker updates in firmware. Most chips can not even be updated at all. The InFeCtuS chip is the only one i have heard about that can be updated.
