Patching is only required for hotswapping, correct?? If I buy a kreon with the correct firmware, or apply the correct firmware off of ebay, all I have to do is download the software mentioned in the tutourial for noobs and rip a backup and then use the same software to burn it, correct?

I am just making sure I am understanding this correctly, I have read the tutourial for noobs. After I have made a backup, then I just need to apply the correct firmware to the correct drive within my xbox, only once, right? Which should be the xtreme 1.4/1.4.1 depending on drive, right??

Anybody?? I just need a yay or nay.... If I use a kreon, I can just rip the game to my hardrive on my pc with xbox backup creator 1.6 or whatever it's called and then burn it with my duallayer dvd writer with the same exact software? Right...?? And all of this will work with the xtreme firmware 1.4/1.4.1? Correct? That is all it is to it??

Seems to good to be true. Just wanted to make absolutely sure before I go spending money or breaking shit. Thanks for any help!

yes and burn it with imgburn, some say to change the booktype on imgburn but i didnt, i left it dvd+r dl i burned them on verbatim, ive burned 20 or so with no problem. my xbox drive is benq i flashed it with iXtreme v1.41

Cool thanks, seems pretty simple, but looks can be deceiving, heh. Anyway, once this is done will I always be able to burn and play games, maybe only having to update the firmware on my xbox's harddrive every now and then (because of newer security measures from microsft)? or... Could they one day come out with a way to stop this all together??

I know of the problems of playing on xbox live. The fact that you could get banned, but that only affects the online play right, and not being able to play the game offline?
