ar max evo doesnt load

So i finally got ar max(v3.60) but it didn't came with pc software just a ps2 disc and memory card.When i put in memory card it shows no data (that freaked me out) and when i put in the cd in the ps2 disc tray it shows error "disc read error"(or something like that).What is the problem. 

i searched the google and afterdwan but no succes..

Don't panic, it takes me like ten times every time I put it in my ps2. Even when it was new.
