Hi,

I've got quite a few dvd's which have films on which I don't care for and would like to record over. Can someone point me in the direction of a guide or thread which can help me please? I've had a look through this forum but couldn't find anything.

I've always used dvd decrypter and dvd shrink if that helps.

Dvd decrypter can erase your Dvd RW's. I don't have it in front of me right now or i'd give you more explicit instructions.

Hi - I tried to erase with dvd decrypter but it said the disc was write protected, is there any way around this?

Also downloaded dvdinfopro and tried to erase a few discs, but said "allocation length incorrect". Any help would be much appreciated!

make sure nothing else is locking on to the drive, like media player etc while trying to erase...

I think I've made the mistake of thinking I have DVD+RW discs when in actual fact I just have DVD+R discs. Quite deceiving as although it says in large letters DVD+R on the discs and casing etc it does have the RW logo also. Sorry for wasting time!
