Can you get caught for downloading dvd decryptor onto your computer? I have a dvd burner (Pioneer AO6U) and was wanting to backup Freaky Friday for my daughter so she doesn't ruin the original, but I don't have a dvd burning software that can split 6 GB down to 4 GB. Is there any other software out there that is good that you can use in the US without it being illegal?

UMmm...It is not illegal in the US to Backup DVD"s as Long as you own the DVD you are Copying..It is Part of the Fair Use Clause in the Copyright Act...So the Answer is NO you can"t get Busted for Downloading DVD decryptor in the US...But you should Download DVD Shrink instead because it will Rip your DVD and Compress it for you so it will Fit on a Single 4.38gb DVD-R and best of all it is free...You can get it here : http://dvdshrink.org/download.php?site=0&file=dvdshrink23.zip ...Cheers

You are Probably get that Error Because the File Like allmost all Files are in "Zip" format so you need to have WinZip Installed to uncompress the File...You won"t get very Far on your PC without Haveing a File Compression Program Like WinZip or WinRar because Most Programs that you download off the net are going to be in a Zip File..So if that is the Problem you should go and Download WinZip and then you will be able to Extract the Files in DVD-Shrink......

PS: watch it with the Refrsh button ,You went on a Multiple Posting Spree here...lol
