I have a problem solder points BGHI from the ABGHI area . From what I can gather , am I suppose to scratch the hole and then attempt to attach the wire... I've gotten 6 other wire on so far but jeeze this is hard xD

GAH! No post body edit!?!?!?! Anywho.. I have decided to try and find an installer in the Ocala,FL area to the Spring Hill, FL area. If you are let me know because I searched the forums for a reference thread and was unsuccessful

It's really not difficult with solder flux. Go to radio shack and pick some up. Take a tooth pick and put a small amount on the point you want to solder. Also put some on the wire you plan to solder to the point. Get some solder on the tip of your hot iron. put them all together. The wires should now stick to the point much better.

the problem is that there is nothing for the solder to stick too... its just the green covering and no metal/tin/copper/whatever there for it to adhere too

Hex,

CAREFULLY, use a razor knife/Exacto to GENTLY scrape off the green solder mask, exposing the copper via. Add a little flux to the via, tin your wire, tin the via and while heating the via with your iron, poke the wire into the via. Remove heat. Done!
