I've been at it for 2 days and I'm pretty damn sure I'm doing something wrong if everybody else is getting it a lot faster than 2 days. I'm to the point where I'm about to toss everything out the window.

How would I tell if I successfully made my battery to a pandora battery?
How can I tell if I made my memory stick into a magic memory stick?

I've been following so many guides, I've practically lost count. I think I found one that descripted, "If my memory stick using command prompt looks like **** then you've successfully created a magic memory stick". I'm there, I did see that (I think, but I could be wrong). Then after this, how would I go about properly downgrading my PSP using both pandora battery and magic memory stick, assuming both are fully functional? I put all the necessary files, folders, etc.. where they're supposed to go. Go to the "GAME" folder using my PSP and launch the starter, well what do you know? I get, "the game could not be started".

That's all I've been getting pretty much since square 1. I don't know where to go or what guides/files to use at this point. Never managed to use the UPMS installation properly because, well, I get, "the game could not be started"..

I've been stuck for 2 days and counting.. :(

I think from the guide you've followed, to make the magic memory stick and pandora, you need a custom firmware :)
Follow THIS guide if you do not have another PSP with a custom firmware :)

Well, if you put the "Pandora battery" and the "Magic memory stick" together, then you'll get a different menu on your PSP :) [Not the XMB]
The menu depends upon the "Magic memory stick" :)
If you juz put a pandora battery in your PSP w/o the memory stick, then your PSP screen will be blank and the "Power's" green light will glow :)

That's one of the guides that I was using. I got to
, picked option 4 and hit enter. It said something like '3.exe' was not found blahblahblah. It pretty much did not work.

My battery, I hardmodded myself. I shut down everything and removed the battery. Put it back in without the memory stick and it didn't stay black.

This is all a pain.

I think you'll have to download the file back again and try again :P

btw, I think your hardmod must've got wrong >_<

It's easier to downgrade your PSP if you have another PSP with a custtom firmware :)
Do, you know anyone having a custom firmware PSP ??? :)
