Xeno GC Orange Light

I have just installed a xeno Gc and the light goes from red to orange not green. I tried running a game backup from a mini DVD burned at 4x (the slowest my writer seems to go with nero...any ideas?) but despite recognising the game name in the dashboard it refuses to boot and gives and error message after the nintendo screen. I am trying to burn better quality datawrite DVDs (4.5gb) but nero doesnt allow me to do this. I also resoldered the chip directly to the board (previously done with wires) but this made no difference

Two questions:

Is the orange light normal (I read somewhere than new xeno GC chips do this)

Whats the best way to burn disks

Just to update the gamecube mod above (light from red to orange) works if the game is ripped on good quality standard DVDs at 2x. It seems that the new Xeno GCs turn from red to orange and NOT red to green
