I have a 2 gig pro duo sandisk card. I made the magic memory stick, but when i put my tool into it I get a black screen. No menu shows up what do I do.

Also did you charge the tool battery to at least 80%?
Edit to add - does the power light come on when the battery is in?

Right, when you've made your magic memory stick, turn off the PSP. Take out your normal battery AND MAKE SURE you take out THE MEMORY STICK ASWELL.

Then, you need to put the MEMORY STICK IN FIRST, then put the Tool Battery in. The PSP will automatically turn on and boot the pandora menu

I have done all of that. I also get a reserved sector error.

Some suggestions:
Try making the magic stick again.
Use another pc.
If using Vista - use a pc w/ XP instead.
If you have a custom theme installed change it back to the default theme.
