As with Things We Lost in the Fire, there's nothing problematic on this Paramount title:

Quote:
Media is a DVD.
Booktype: dvd-rom (version 1), Layers: 2 (opposite)
Size of first Layer: 2059008 sectors (4021 MBytes)
Total size: 4069334 sectors (7947 MBytes)

Video DVD (or CD) label: INTO_THE_WILD_D1
Media is CSS protected!
Video Standard: NTSC
Media is locked to region(s): 1 4!

Found & removed RCE protection!
Structural copy protection not found.
Changed firstplay: Jump directly to TitleMenu!
Autorun not found on Video DVD.
Bad sector protection not found.
Emulating RPC-2 drive with region 1!
As with most of my back ups, AnyDVD ripped this without a hitch and Shrink processed it.

Glad to see we have had 2 quiet weeks. Next week might be a big one for encryptions (No Country, Bee Movie, Dan in Real Life, and even Hitman and Sleuth).

It's nice to know there's not much to this one...in case i get bored. I didn't see jack crap this week that looked like it was worth watching.

I'm itching for a challenging title. Hopefully something coming up soon will scratch that itch.

I just hope it's not Saw V!

Mr Pink: Any of those 2 flicks (you ripped)any good?

No Country is suppose to be one of the 4 highest ranked flicks last year.

BTW: Mr Magorium was the same as last weeks releases. Dvd shrink ripped it all by itself. Shouldn't see a ton of threads about peeps not being able to rip that one.

I haven't seen Into the Wild yet. Work has been backing up recently. I'm sure it's great though; great cast, great soundtrack, and I'm sure Sean Penn did a good job. It's a cool story too. I'm sure plenty of people can relate to it in some form or another.

Things We Lost in the Fire is all about Benicio Del Toro. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have given this the time of day. As hot as Halle Berry is, I think she's a terrible actress. With that said, everything was fine. It's a melodrama about 2 separate individuals trying to overcome adversity. This movie is purely a vehicle to see Benicio shine (even though this is a role that we always see him in [troubled individual perseveres]).

I can't wait for next week. So many movies are coming out that day that I wish I could take off of work lol. I will be leaving early, you can count on that lmao.

Thanks, dude. I used to write for my school paper. The entertainment/movie section was mine lol.

This has gone way off topic but oh well lol. No one is having any problems with the movies--that's a good thing.

I believe the reference is in the movie "Reservoir Dogs", the role of Steve Buscemi.

And i believe Cardinal iluvendo is right on the money. One of Steve's best roles, IMO.

Hells yes it's a reference to Reservoir Dogs--one of my favorite movies. I used to have a small photo and two lines of dialogue from the movie but I've since replaced it for what you see now.

It's almost better because I now get to field all sorts of wild guesses and explanations from members about my nickname lol.

To rip using AnyDVD, I think it's about 12 minutes to rip. If it's a DVD5, it takes less than 5 minutes.

From there, I use VOBB to blank the trash I don't want. That's usually under 5 minutes too.

Shrink depends on your computer. If I'm compressing a ~60% movie, that can take up to 1 hr 30 minutes. If it's ~70%, it can be as short as 30 minutes. If it's ~80% - 90%, under 30 minutes.

I think this was a 70% for me. It shouldn't take that long.

Then again, if you have a computer that is not as old as mine (maybe 4 years old but with some upgrades), Shrink should work much faster.
