Hey, I have been trying to mod my first PS2 (v7) with a Matrix Infinity chip and I have ran into a few problems. Ive tried to install the chip many times, but I have only gotten the Matrix logo one time. After every unsuccessful attempt I have de-soldered all the wires and checked if the PS2 still booted. I have been lucky and it is still booting fine, but here is my probelm:

Now when I plug in the PS2 the blue eject LED does not come on. I can still boot the PS2, but I cannot eject the tray. While the system is on the blue LED is on solid. When I push the button nothing happens at all. I have checked all the fuses and have found them all to check out. I also checked the eject cable and it seems fine. Do you have any suggestions to get the drive working again? Thanks for your help,

Try powering the unit on with the top cover removed...see if it ejects then. Worth a try.
