I have recently upgraded my firmware form 3.90 to 3.90m33 and now I cannot connect to my university's wireless internet. Before on 3.90 it would allow me to connect, then I would enter my student information, then allow me on the network. On 3.90m33 it doesn't even connect to the server. It does this:

Connecting to server....

A connection error has occured. A connection to the access point could not be established. Check the security settings for network and try again.

Maybe theres a fix I need for 3.90m33, if anyone knows how to fix this thanks in advance.

I had the same problem with my PSP Phat and PSP Slim. I had to manuaully set the network connection(s). Apparently there is some sort of DHCP issue with 3.90 M33. I've read it somewhere, but not too sure where. However, the manual configurations worked like a charm.

Nah theres no security key. I tried manually setting the network connection and that didn't work either.

Also is it possible to hook my Ethernet cable to my PS3 at home and use my PS3's built in wireless and PSP's remote play to play online PSP games??

nope i dont think you can also i dont think remote play works with cfw?

also try changing your cfw to 3.80m33 or 3.71m33 or best to do this first it to install the -2 addon for 3.90m33 that might fix the problem.

hope that all helps 0_<

Same happened to me on both pfat and slim. Here's what I did, go into recovery and scroll through the regions(don't know if it helped but that's what I did) then goto registry hacks and enable both. Worked for me on both phat and slim.

3.90 M33 and 3.90 M33-2 are said to have problems because they are hacked. You must wait until DAX finishes his 3.90 M33.

After that the problems will reduce! :)

I'll try that tomorrow when I get to school.

And yes remote play works...as in I can turn on remote play connect my PSP to my PS3 and see my PS3 xmb on my PSP. However I cannot access the internet.

Thanks everyone for the replies and its good to know I'm not the only one with this problem lol. I thought I was just doing something wrong.

So was this ever resolved? I am running 3.90 M33-2 (from Dark Alex's site) and i cannot connect to any wireless networks. I tried going into the recovery console and set the region to US. I went into registry hacks and enabled wmv and flash. Still not able to connect. Should i downgrade to an older version of the firmware? I'd like to do things with my PS3 via the PSP, but understand if i can't.
