Just tried to get GOW on my PSP Slim to play off the MS, but it just goes black after the PSP screen. Eventually the PSP turns off. Dark Alex should have a solution soon.

Working in my slim w/ 3.90 m33-2 so like 07anto07 said probably a bad rip.
btw - the little I've seen the graphics are awesome.

OK so before when I made the thread, I tested it on my friend's star wars edition slim and it wouldn't play. Not that I just tried to load it to my Silver Slim, it works fine. Really weird, Possibly a bad transfer??

Check your friends umd mode - that might be the problem. Set it to Sony NP9660

hey, i kinda got the same problem, i just updated my psp CFW to 3.90 m33-2 like two days ago and everything is cool. today i bought god of war for the psp... yes bought. but now it won't read the disc all my other games work, all that happens is after i select the umd icon it plays the PSP logo and go's to a black screen then returns to the menu and display's "the game could not be started. (80020148)"

if i remember correctly when this happend a long time ago i had to set the use umd option in the CFW menu, but that was for iso's but now i'm trying to play the legit game. any suggestions? and it is currently set to "use umd"
i guess i could always make a backup of the game but i'd rather just play off the umd.

must be a bad iso or you need to go into recovery and use UMD or something. Ive been playing in on 3.71m33 and it lags alot when alot is going on.

yeah, sorry i forgot to post saying that i figured it out, i had to set the umd to sony... and disable all the advance options.

I think I found the solution my psp would freeze in the first stage of the game after a combo, so I disable all my plugins and now it works
