I downloaded a movie, and just before completing te file, my computer crashed. I now have 87 .part files. I also have the part.met and part.met.bak files. But, edonkey doesn't see the file and wont complete it into 1 file.
Is there a way of converting the .part files into the one .bin file that it should be?
Also, try using the videolan player mentioned on that page to play the main part.met file. If it plays, it is very possible that you can save it some way, either as described or by some other method. Good luck!
Hi thanks for you reply. But unfortunately it didn't work. Maybe I didn't explain it correctly. The file I'm downloading is a .bin file (an image file and when I burn it onto a cd, it becomes a VCD movie). My eDonkey downloaded this file in 87 .part files. I have 1 part.met file for these 87 .part files (1.1.part to 1.87.part). I would like to know if there is a way to merge these files into 1 .bin file. Because eDonkey didn't do this, which it normally does do. Only my computer crached while completing. Also, eDonkey doesn't recognize these files anymore, so they are still in the temp directory, but does nothing with them.
I think maybe there is a bad file or something, because I downloaded it twice, but crashed both times while completing. Also, the 1.26.part file causes problems when I try to move it to another directory, maybe te problem lies within this file? I tried to remove it and restarted eDonkey, but still nothing happens.
I really hope somebody can help me.
