I was wondering if there was a way to hack a PSP without buying anything like a Pandora Battery or anything like that, I dont have a PSP right now but I was planning on buying the silver one but if its easier/and free to hack a Fat PSP or anyother type of PSP i would buy that one instead.

if the firmware on the psp is 3.50 or below you can use gta liberty city stories umd game which has to have the 2.00 update on it or luminnes the game also with the 2.00 update on it, or the pandora battery and card which can do the custom firmware alot quicker.
I was looking around and the pandora's Battery price isnt too bad its just one guy was selling it for $130 and i thought they were all sold for that high,anyways is the magic memory stick any different from a normal memory stick or can i just buy a normal memory stick.
i have one of these, and it works perfectly. All you have to do is create a Magic Memory Stick from one of various guides on these forums and your done XD
Also, it isn't any harder to put Custom Firmware on PSP Slim, so it's up to you on what one to get =)
EDIT: You can use any normal memory stick, and once you've finished downgrading/ putting CFW on your PSP, you can delete all the files and use it as a normal memory stick. Also, 256 MB - 2 GB memory sticks are recomended, although i use my 4GB with no problems
