Hello all, I was wondering if it is possible to copy two DVD 5's to one DVD 9 Double layer disc? I have a 2 disc set of a movie and I want to back them up, but I would prefer to put them both on one double layer disc. I copied the files from the disc's to my hard drive using DVD Shrink. I have two folders with the BUP, VOB, and IFO files in them. The only problem is that the file names in both folders are the same name so when I try to add the files for burning, it tries to overwrite the first disc with the second disc. So if this is possible, could someone please help me out? Thanks in advance.

You can combine them with Shrink in the re-author mode. The VTS's of the second disc will change (by number only) and they will all be in the same VIDEO_TS folder.

Can you please elaborate on how to use re-authoring in dvd shrink coz all I am able to do is open one dvd (VIDEO_TS) folder at a time in dvd shrink ?
I had copied the ifo's and vob's from the 2 dvd's to harddisk hence there are now 2 folders each of AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS and both have similar files.
Or two make this a bit simpler....Can I compress and fit two DVD5's on one DVD5. We do know that we have softwares which help you fit DVD9 on DVD5 (like DVD2ONE, DVD Shrink etc.) So...once I am able to fit those two dvd5's on one dvd9, then I can use those softwares to fit the DVD9 to one DVD5. Unless there is a software which directly fits two dvd5's on one dvd5
There is a program called DVDRemake Pro which will take two (or more) seperate DVD images and combine them. It will give you a new 1st menu which allows you to choose Disk 1 or Disk 2 (etc) after which you're taken to the original DVD menu of the chosen disk.
I don't believe that it's able to shrink the files, though, so you'd have to use something else for that.
