Terrible load times

I have a Pioneer 212D burner, burning with Imgburn at 2.4x onto Verbatim made in Singapore media. My 360 is a refurb that I just got and flashed. It has the old hitachi drive (46 I believe). My load times for games are impressively long. Assassin's Creed takes on the order of two to three minutes to load a level. Any thoughts on how I can improve this? Thanks in advance.

Does this happen with both originals and back ups? If only with back yos then i would say the problem may lie in the burner, burning process, or the burning speed.
If it happens with both then the laser or the flash may be at fault.

I don't recall a method for setting flash speed so I'd assume it was the default. If that's possibly the cause though I'll do some research and reflash. It was a little slow with originals before I flashed it, but I didn't think it was beyond the limits of normal.

I agree with wabashman I think it was flashed to a 2x read speed or a 4x. I did that to see the difference it would have. lol never again

as stated above each flash for the drive has several versions like A,B,C or so on. And each one of those is a different read speed. Personally i went with 12X and have never had any problems.

Interesting, I don't know how I missed this. Well, I got off work early today so I guess I have a project this afternoon. Thanks for the help guys.

I do all mine at 2x, it's like whats the bloody rush trying to do it faster? Never a coaster so all good.

You didnt understand Mr.Xbox he is saying he modded his xbox firmware to 2x so all of his games load really slow

LOL, wabashman, I won't go into where you sounded like a TOTAL newbie a few weeks ago when you couldn't figure out how to use Xbins, lol jk. Was SURPRISED, you of all people couldn't figure Xbins out, maybe you just had a bad day, we all have them.
