I have on my psp 3.71 M33-3
and i am buy no measns a wizz at this,
i have seen stories about bricking the psp
and playing with the battery.

what is the most simplest way to move upto 3.90?

I had trouble updating to 3.90M33 for some reason so I just downloaded the 3.80 M33 files and from then on you can update the PSP's firmware using network update.

psp firmware network is the official one from sony?

can you then play backups on this official one?

Now known as 3.90 Easy Installer v2, it has a couple of new additions that people should really like, such as additional steps to determine if you're using a Sony PSP Slim or Phat, and if you want to add the 1.50 Kernel or not to the easy installation procedure

Here's the basic changelog for 3.90 M33 Easy Installer v2:


1.5 Kernel added
Vista compatibility added
Steps added
