weird wii problem.

hi guys,maybe you can help me w/ my usa wiikey chipped wii. i had it for over a year w/ no problems then upgraded the firmware w/ metroid prime..after the update i was able to play it at first but when i changed the game w/ my old games it asks me to update again even on my wii sports game (weird) when i press update it says "update failed" then would go back tp the menu,now all games wouldn't work anymore coz it asks for an update then when i update it it says update failed! so i cant play any games anymore,then tried to install my cousins usa unmodified wii drive on my unit,it also asks for an update on all my original games then would end up with "update failed"
any ideas how to fix this? thanks in advance!

Try the recovery disc and see what happens.

Yeah if you had it a year did you keep updating the wiikey firmware?
