First found this site (great site by the way) when following link from "1click dvd copy". Program has worked successfully for me 3 times -- which coincidentally is the same number of times you are allowed to use the download trial copy before purchase. I am preparing to purchase but am curious is anyone has found any pitfalls or problems with use of this product. Site for download of product is:

http://www.1clickdvdcopy.com/download.html

Was referred here because you also have to have dvd43 decrypter: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd43.cfm

Program was very easy to use. Load dvd43 decrypter (totally automatic and you don't need to do anything). Then hit 1click dvd copy and it does the rest. I backed up all 3 of my Raiders of Lost Ark dvds. Has anyone encountered any problems with use of this product before I purchase???
thanks

It looks like a brother or cousin to the Platinum edition of 321Studios X Copy line of products. That frightens me. There is a little more control than what Platinum currently offers. DVD43 only cracks the CSS and not Macrovision so making a VHS tape of the copied DVD for the kids bedroom is out. I've never used this 1ClickDVDCopy and won't as long as freeware is available.

RWG - my 2 cents worth.

That's a shame, the $40 I spent on InstantCopy 8 has saved me hours of fiddling around with arcane menus, still insertions and the need for another step/program to actually burn to disc. Plus the resulant video quality is superior.

I tried it and had no success. The program returned an error trying to read the source DVD (at 34% complete). I figured it was a DVD problem (the DVD was indeed scratched). I tried it on another brand new DVD but had the same problem at 12% complete. I then used Decrypter and that worked fine. With Decrypter I could also read the scratched DVD (although it took an hour because of all the retries).
Perhaps 1click dvd copy is not compatible with my DVD burner and so it had problem? I use a Lite-On 411. I don't know. The software seemed very easy to use though.

Don't know about arcane menus, still insertions, etc. If I elect to keep menus and extras DVD Shrink gives me the option to do so as well as removing Subtitles and unwanted Language tracks.

InstantCopy 8 by Pinnacle is a completely different animal than the "1 Click DVD Copy" program asked about in this thread. But InstanyCopy isn't without it's limitions...from the Pinnacle site:

Make true 1:1 copies of single-layer DVDs, and burn dual-layer discs onto single layer 4.7GB recordable discs (CSS encrypted titles not supported).

I know AnyDVD or a similar CSS protection bypassing application has to be used when you copy with IC 8 before it will copy a CSS / Macrovision protected DVD. It works well, and works particularly well if the source DVD is encoded using DVD Decrypter. To each his own. I respect your opinion.
