PSP 3.02 OE-B Update?

Hey guys. I was wondering what steps I should take to update my PSP 3.02 OE-B Dark Alex firmware? The reason I ask is because sometimes you need to update it to a lower level first rather than jump to the highest update.

Also once I update (and if its allowed to be discussed here) how can I get my game backups such as God Of War to boot off of the memory stick. Would that require something else in addition to the latest firmware?

So I really only have to run two updates with my firmware?

I am included in the 1.50/SE/OE/LE to 3.52 M33-4 group right?

Well I just did the first update of two and now my card is not being read by the PSP for some reason. It keeps flashing the read light at the bottom left but no files are showing up. The PSP is acting like there is not a card put into the PSP. The PSP is not bricked, other than that it is working fine.
