I opened my PS2 to dust out the disk reader because it was always saying Disk Read Error. Somehow in the process the ribbon connecting to the mainboard of the PS2 got ripped and now it doesn't work. I am very mad at myself right now. Does anyone know where i can get a replacement? Or maybe a place that i can send it to get it repaired? Can someone on this forum do it...? :D

Well, any help is very much appreciated. I freakin' HATE myself now for opening it up.

Your sure it's ripped and not just pulled out of the main board?

PM me if you didn't want to do the repair yourself.

Yeah, im sure its ripped out. the part that connects the ribbon to the mainboard is ripped.

how much do you charge? :D

Ok, never mind, I don't need help with getting it repaired. I can do it myself. found where the ribbon cable goes into the motherboard. Now i just need help finding a cheap one for an SCPH-30001. I see some out there for like $8. Is this the cheapest there is?

Ok, i just figured out that the ribbon thingy was just detached, not ripped. i re attached it and it was just fine. But, i have encountered another problem.

I used a guide here on afterdawn on how to play burned disks with ARMAX and other stuff. i made a slide card and it worked just fine. after playing some burned games, i wanted to put in another one and when i was sliding it to be able to take the cd tray out, the little pin broke :'( i took it apart and i glued it back but it broke again. I found a replacement online and now i just need to figure out how to take the elevation arm (the thing i broke) out. any help is appreciated.
