I have a question regarding the PSP's battery. Does the slim and the old fatty run off of the same battery? If not, whats the difference?

Also, I see on ebay all of these cheapo batteries, but some are 1800mAh, some are 2200, 2400, 3600...will any of these milliamp ratings work?
will some be better than others?....and if I dont buy an official sony battery, will the PSP charger still charge it?....

On a side note, will a generic battery still make a passable Pandora?

thanks much!

Ya know.. I've been wondering the same thing. (kinda) I looked at the webite that has the white battery covers for the extended battery and I myself am in need of a couple extra to take on a long trip that i'll be going on soon. i have heard to stay with only official sony batteries for your psp and that the ones on ebay are total junk and could possibly even trash your unit.

i wish that i had a better answer for ya, 'cuz i'm looking for the same answer myself. i'm also trying to find a site that offers a really good hard case for the psp slim, but all i've come across so far has been those stupid plastic things.

if you get any info on your battery questions outside of here, post back.

I'm on the 3 step program

1. DvdFab
2. Dvd Shrink
3. Fairuse

difference between slim & phat batteries... One is slim and one is fat - yes it's that simple ;)

You can use either type of battery in either PSP for Pandora or testing but basically they aren't suitable for long term housing due to the difference in size.

I'd try and get official sony for power whatever the rating. If you want a Pandora I'd consider the datel tool though it's relatively easy to softmod a sony to Pandora and then return it to regular state when you are finished.

I bought a PSP Slim Protective Crystal Case to protect my PSP. It is made from hard plastic and allows you to play your PSP whilst it is in the case. It isn't that crappy silicon skin where it can rip easily. This is a full hard case which covers the PSP. I got mines from Amazon UK.
