I purchased psp off ebay, It displays firmware 3.8, no m-33 is this the same? and can i upgrade straight to 3.9 m33? Not sure which guide to follow

right no you can just upgrade to 3.90m33 you need to use pandoras battery to get there

both hard mod and soft mod versions of pandoras battery are there if you click my userbar in my sig

for clarification hard mod is if you dont know someone with a cfw psp
soft mod is if you DO know someone with a cfw psp

or what you can do is get a datel tool battery and they all you need to do is make the magic mem stick 0_<

hope that makes it a bit clearer

also is it a slim?

ok got battery apart is whats shown in pic the little board or do I have to take the aluminum foil off the battery? (if so do i replace the foil) and will the battery still be useable as a regular battery after this or do I need to purchase a new one?

right no i dont think you need to take the foil of that under the battery chip board?

on the chip board there should be that small chip cut the correct pin shown in the pictures and it will become a pandoras battery 0_<

once your done with it being a pandoras battery just solder it back down and then your back to normal 0_<

hope that helps (im a bit unsure about the foil thing but if its over the chip that you need to cut then i guess you will have to remove it if no then i wouldn't 0_<)
