I have just recived a nec 1300a dvd writer I have fitted it ok
both dvd rom and nec1300a plays dvds ok , it will record a audio cd with no problems ,but when I try to copy a dvd it tells me that there is a problem with my dvd rom drive, this is the message - problem reading disc info-err:05.20.00cmd:51.error ,
the dvd rom plays dvds ok out of the copying program using interActual player.
the only software I got with it is tx ones version 1.1.153
could anyone help ?

You dont say if you have compressed the film or not,I assume not. Download DVD Shrink (Freeware) and the latest version of Nero to burn the film once finished.
By far these progs are the easiest I have used to back up films.
