i try loads of converters and burns and none of are that good they only trails and do so much of the video can some give me a website were i can burn movies on to disc and a good convter that will converter

DVD Flick will convert AVI to DVD, is free and updated regularly.
It can optionally burn it's output to disk.

IMGBurn (free and updated) is CD/DVD burning software that is very reliable.

my dvd dont play avi files so i need a converter that will put a avi file in to a mpeg

That's precisely what DVD Flick does--to convert AVIs and such to DVD. To piggy-back off attar's, a guide can be found here.
