If your slim PSP has CFW then yes you can but using Hellcat's pandora.

Otherwise if its OFW then buy a slim Datel tool battery.

not if you have the new psp slim. the new ones have the ta-085 v2 motherboard which will not flash the battery.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

Hellcat cannot be displayed on a Slim as it is based on the 1.50 kernel.

New slims TA-085v2 as rightly said cannot convert batteries. Either buy a datel or use a Phat battery.

If you can convert a Phat to Pandora via a Phat Psp, then yes it will work on a Slim. You have to leave battery cover off but it will function as pandora easily.

i know becuse i use a Phat battery to do any slim d/g

I have never seen any shop selling a pandora, or even a TOOL battery. Your best bet is to try small computer shops that do console repairs, as they may downgrade it for you, but i doubt that they will actually sell you a pandora.

Your other option is to try and find someone close to you who is willing to meet up and downgrade the PSP for you. THIS site may be of some use to you. Most people on here are really friendly...so if someone is nearby where you live they would probably be happy to give you a hand.

The pandora boots the PSP up into "service mode". Service Mode allows the PSP to load software from a source other than the PSP internal operating files. The MMS contains the files that the we need the PSP to boot from in order to install the CFW. If you use THIS guide to create the MMS, the PSP will install 3.71 M33 Custom Firmware when booted into Service Mode.
You need both the TOOL battery AND the MMS to install CFW, but you can make the MMS yourself using the above guide, so that wont cost you a penny!

The only other way to obtain a Pandora for a slim id to Hard mod it, risky and unless your a demon with a soldering iron your battery will have to remain as Pandora. This would mean buying another Slim battery.

If you want to send me the Phat Battery and your MS, i can convert and send it back to you. You pay Postage though - Both Ways.
I am UK based. If you want to just PM me.

This is definately not impossible. I had a 3.80 OFW a few weeks ago and i downgraded to 3.71 M33.

The only thing you need is a Pandora battery and a magic memory stick. I used a Datel tool battery to boot my PSP into service mode. You can either search it on ebay for fast delivery or go on codejunkies.

The magic memory stick is easy to make: http://www.sendspace.com/file/r3hmt2

Follow the steps when you do the Magic memory stick very carefully. Once you've done that put your memory stick in FIRST then put your battery. Once thats done press X and wait for everything to finish. Press X again then start your PSP with your normal battery. It should be a 3.71 M33. :)

DAX has released the timemachine allowing you to install 1.50 kernal on your slim.
