What is D2C and what does it do?

I'm planning to buy a PAL wii, what differences must I become aware? I heard that if it has a D2C chipset or w/e, then I must buy a D2pro or something like that?

Yes all new Wiis have a D2C chipset thus you need a D2C-compatible chip.

Argon, D2Pro, and the Wasabi are your available choices.

D2C is the name of part of the wii DVD drive. Older wii's have a different chipset, new wii's have D2C and require a D2C compatable modchip. D2Pro, Argon and Wasabi are D2C compatable modchips. Wiikey, Wiid and CycloWiiz are only compatable with older wii chipsets.
