modded my mates xbo, he wanted it reversed, i chose revert to ms.
seemed to be okay, i rebooted. then suddenly i get this screen saying xbox live wants to update its software or w.e and it tries to update and fails all the time (even when actually connected to the net)
please help me, it wont boot games or anything, and i have no idea if i can actually ftp it.
ill try to ftp tomorrow. but since the softmod got uninstalled i doubt i can ftp.
okay, i found out hd is locked and i cant unlock it unless i use evox, yet my xbox wont load anything so im stuck, i heard llama or something made a tool which brute forces the pass when you connect hd to pc. so ive got that for now, but will it delete all the MS info on there?
is it safe to use? does it only unlock it? (i just want to unlock it really and repair my ms files)

If you use that you are totally screwed.You will lose your eeprom and will need to build an eeprom reader.
You need to try hotswapping the drive.. unplug the dvd drive ide cable, wait for error 12 and then look for a hotswap guide.. There are lots and lots in the error 16 -21 threads.
shame you didnt say that earlier mate lol,
i hotswapped it a little too soon, got an error 06. its dead as. doesnt matter now anyway as i gave my mate the spare xbox lying around,
