Hey guys...First time poster here, man this forum is nice...I'll be back quite frequently I'm sure.

Anyway, my kids are scratching the hell out of my DVD's, so I'd like to make backups. I just bought a Lite-On 411S which I hope will be fine. But what software? My main concern is the menus and the 5.1 audio. I've heard that DVD X Copy will make exact copies, including all the menus and 5.1 audio...?? The problem is DVD X Copy is rather expensive. Any suggestions? How 'bout some 'how-to' links?

You Do not need to Buy anything..All you need is a Program called "DVD-Shrink" it is freeware and it will Backup your DVD"s with menu"s and the 5.1 audio and get rid of the Rest and format it all to a Video_TS folder that just needs to be Burned to DVD with your Favorite Writeing app Like Nero or Simular...you should be able to download it at this site :
