I have an epson r200 that i want to reinstall.I keep getting this message though "program cannot be excecuted due to configeration setting problem".I have been on e-link on epson support site and they just said its operating problem but ive never had this problem before using the same operating systerm (windows xp).Any help would be gratfully recieved.thank you
If you want to remove the drivers completely before reinstalling, click 'Start' > 'Printers and Faxes' > 'File' > 'Server properties' > 'Drivers', locate the printer and remove.
thanks attar for your responce.I have tried that and it just says that the driver is been used and cannt be remove even though the printer is not online or even pluged in
thanks attar for your help.I followed you instructions and removed the driver finally. When finished i went to reinstall printer only to get the same message."configeration problem"i have no printer or driver installed so not sure why there this problem
How far along before the message?
I assume you start the installation cd, then it tells you to plug the usb cable into the printer, is it after the printer gets connected to the pc that the message comes up?
I put in the cd choose english then custom install( because dont need all the crap on cd only need printer drivers and stylus monitor section )click install then get message straight away.Have also tried a full install get same message only on printer driver and stylus monitor. Can properly insall epson print cd section and referance section
I'm out of ideas.
You are the Administrator - right click on the installation file and select 'Run as'.
USB is turned on in the BIOS and there are no ! messages in My Computer, Properties, Hardware, Device Manager against the USB controller.
Your going to have to find an Epson, or at least a printer support forum, unless someone jumps in here.
thanks attar for all your suggestions.I will post back here when i find out whats wrong just to let you know for your own records.cheers m8
just a quick note to attar to say ive done it finally.d/l drivers and monitor files from epson and manually installed them.even though its now installed it still wont load from disc.bizzar but sorted.thanks m8
