Ok, this has been nagging at me for a while now, so today i decided to just figure out what was going on. Ever since I did the last update of my PSP from 3.80M33 to 3.90M33, I have not been able to load any ISO image games.

When I was about to start the update, i read the M33 read me file and it said that i could upgrade using the network updater right away, so i thought to myself, "what a great idea, and how convenient". So i went ahead and did and all went well. The next thing i know, after restarting my PSP, is that I can't see the games that i have stored as ISO images on my memory card anymore (with or without UMD).

So the next thing i thought was maybe it needed the 1.50 Kernel add-on, even though i never needed it before. So this is what I tried:

- Downloaded and tried to install the 1.50 kernel add-on.
- Downloaded and tried to install the 3.90M33-2 update.

Both attempts however ended with the PSP restarting and giving me the following error:

The game could not be started.
(80020148)

After that I decided to enter the recovery menu to see if there were any settings that needed changing, but to my surprise, I came to find that I DO NOT HAVE A RECOVERY MENU ANYMORE!!!

Now someone please tell me how the HELL this is possible, and PLEASE tell me that there's a way for me to revert my PSP to its prior condition.

Are you ceratin that when you were on 3.80 that the network updater in recovery mode was set to enabled. If it was not then it will upgrade to OFW.

Check system settings>system info - if you cannot see M33 your on OFW.

You now need a pandora set up to get back to M33.

Well, it should have been on its default value, because I never changed it. What is its default value? How come there was no warning about this anywhere?

The default is as enabled. It is the last option before exit...Maybe you hit it by mistake.
