I have the v12, 75001

I can read the blue / purple backed oem disks.

but not the silver backed oem disks.

I am asuming this is a laser issue and have ordered a replacement one.

However, I was hoping for some input on this.

I did clean the laser, nothing was reading prior to the clean.

thats what led me to the laser being bad or partially bad.

hope for further input on this, in case I am wrong and need to look at something else.

The V12 is a SCPH-70012 , the SCPH-75001 you have posted is a V14. You may have just typed it wrong.
But yes I would think its the laser if nothing can be read.
At least the lasers for the slim are relatively cheap.
Let us know if that did fix it when you replace it.
