hey guys let me first say i'm a complete idiot haha I tried to put a theme for 3.40OE-A on my PSP and overwrote my flash0 files. Now the PSP won't load the XMB. I can access recovery mode but that dosen't do much good because whenever I enable fllash0 to copy back the original flash0 files (I copied the them off first just in case :)) it just brings me to the memory stick. Any ideas? I was running 3.90M33-2 before this dumb move haha

right what you can do is set the recovery boot for 1.50 or what ever you want ill write it for 1.50 but you can put what ever updater in the but i think 1.50 is the safest

toggle the memory stick

then make a folder in game named recovery

x:\psp\game\recovery (where x is the psp drive)

then download the 1.50 update (you can get it here)

then put the 1.50 eboot into the recovery folder (dont rename the eboot keep it as eboot.pbp)

then go back to recovery mode and click on run program at PSP\GAME\RECOVERY\EBOOT.PBP

and that will start the installer for 1.50

hope that all helps 0_<

Dr1ver, thanks for responding! haha but unfortunately I just tried your advice and it seems to be loading something, but all I get visually is a black screen and eventually after maybe 1 minute or so the PSP just turns itself off.

hummm

you will have to try pandoras battery then

it unusual that it wont to connect to flash0

by the way is your psp a slim if so sorry the 1.50 installer wont work 0_<

you will have to try the 3.90m33 update

copy the files for the update from the update folder and then past them into recovery dont know if that will work because it might need the update folder to know where all the files are (coding thing dont worry about it and you wont be able to change it)

if that still doesnt work the pandoras battery is your only option

hope that all helps 0_<

on there it says format the flash1 and that might fix it

as is said it might be that your flash1 got corrupt and there for disallowed flash memory to be accessed (dont really understand why but hay if it works then no complaining)

It's an original, the fat kind. I'm thinking maybe the PSP isn't charged 75% so I let it charge for a while and i'm going to try again.
