I have firmware 3.1U, i accidentally put in Donkey Kong Racing (PAL) in and the update i believe is what semi-bricked it. I don't even know how long it's been like this or if that was the game for sure.

Anyways, i've done soem research and it seems the only way to fix this is to put in a game with a newer firmware that will overwrite the one that semi bricked the wii, is this correct?

If so, what game can i use to update it? If it's not true, is there anything else i can do?

I have not updated my wiikey yet as i don't want to risk anything with the wii being in the condition it's in. Thanks.

Because it wasnt enough SSB update is a minor one that allows the wii to play dual layer discs, thats all. Wait for 3.2 update to show on a game.

So my wii is still semi-bricked. I have been out of the scene for awhile and i want to get crackin on all the things i've missed out on.

I've done some searching and supposedly there's still no fix for this. But is it possible to do the twilight hack even though i'm semi-bricked? Thanks.

I think this can help

http://hackmii.com/2008/05/semi-brick-fix-discs/

I would use the fix-disc.

Here is the link from bushing. This is a repacked NTSC(U) version from Bushing and the version I have used for others that have semi-bricked their Wii.

Use ImgBurn to burn the ISO at 2X or 4X speed

Hope this help
