I replaced my TV and the scart connection has massive interference with my DBOX2. The stream information shows a very very high BER.
When I put the scart connection back to my old TV all is fine.

Surely the tuner cannot be affected by the scart connection. When I switch the dbox to radio, I notice that there is a nearly glitch every second when it freezes/squeeeks. Is the communication from the scart mixing with data from the tuner? Would a change in images fix this?
I've tried playing with my TV settings to try and switch of the scart noise but no luck!

Has anyone experienced something similar or found a workround?

I'll try using composite connections and see if it makes a difference.

The scart has no affiliation to the signal.
Ifs possible the new tv is not good screened and disturb the signal at the cable to the dbox.

I thought that the new TV was causing some interference via radiation or something. But If I have the new TV switched on but not connected to the dbox2 scart, the BER is fine.
I suspect that scart data is getting mixed with tuner data. My box is running sportster 1.7+ uk05. Does anyone know if the problem could be in the image or maybe it goes deeper into the workings of neutrino? Or the Sagem hardware may just be dodgy.

I haven't been able to check the composite conection yet because I've misplaced my cable. Will keep you informed when I do this.

There is no connection between tuner input and scart output at a dbox.
The full digital processing of the signal is between tuner and scart.
Only the bits and bytes for the chosen channel come through and are converted to analogue at the end of the chain for the scart output. If the input signal is disturbed, the converted bits and bytes contain errors and the output picture is bad.
Your new tv is able to disturb the signal at the wire from the cable feed. Maybe via the scart cable.
Try a other scart socket at the TV and/or a better scart cable.
You could also try a flylead with WF100 cable between wall plate and dbox.

I got to the bottom of it. It was ground noise.
My old TV did not have a ground connection on the plug. My replacement TV does (an earthed plug).

The old setup was never linked to the mains ground and had always been isolated from the noise.

This might also explain those mysterious BER problems other dbox2 users haven't been able to solve.
