Ok so i guess I got this networking thing figured out, between my two computers. But I still cannot get online with my ps3.
So I have my internet going into my main pc and than out of the wireless card to my laptop, which seems to work, i am on the internet right now.
I did this by creating I guess its called an ad hoc network. And I've read online that the ps3 doesnt support it. So I am trying to get the ad hoc signal to go into my laptop ad out my ethernet, but it seems to not be working at all, everytime I try to share the internet connection it just says it cant due to come ip adress issue or that ti says it cant share it since its already beign shared, ugg is this even possible or am I wasting my time.
im not an expert on networking at all, but i dont think you will be able to share a shared connection (ie sharing PC with laptop and then laptop with PS3. However you should be able to share the PC's connection with both the laptop and the PS3 simultaneously.
Have you used ICS to connect the laptop to the PC?
If this doesnt work, you could pick up a cheap wirless router and do it that way, they can be picked up for as little as £25 now in the UK.
You can't share it again. It's not a technical problem, Internet Connection Sharing through windows just doesn't support sharing a shared connection. Buy a router.
