hi.
recently plugged my slimline ps2 back in and for some reason the laser had trouble moving up and down so i opened it and fixed that problem (by only screwing in 2 of the screws that hold in the dvd laser part). So now it works and can move up and down freely although when i put any disc in it just keeps attempting to read it, It first spins the disc, then slows down and laser makes a noise and then etc etc and then eventually speeds up and then just stops. But no matter what disc i put in (even an invalid random disc) it doesn't come up with "This is not a valid ps2 disc" error message (cant remember what the error message actually is :P) so im guessing this isn't a software problem?
could anyone advice me on what to do please! and if there isn't a way to fix this problem is there another way to load my games?

Try cleaning the Laser. Maybe you misaligned it when you opened it.
