NTSC SSBB release help!! no pal or jap info please....

I understand there is a monster thread already on the subject, i read about 6-7 pages allready trying to interpert what was being said.
Today was released the NTSC version of SSBB availalbe to download, i downloaded it as an nzb, did the whole par thing, and discovered that the file is bigger than 7 gigs. here are my questions??

Do I need a dual layer dvd to burn this game?
Is it possible to burn to seperate single layer dvds?
And if so how?
Which one is safer for the wii? because this is not worth bricking it..
Any special programs needed for this one?

Please understand that this is the amercian version and that i am talking about and not the JAP version.
