wii games display problem, SMG/ Metroid Prime/ Super Paper Mario

my configuration is as below:

- Samsung 46LCD TV 1080P
- US wii with wiikey 1.9g update
- connection through component cables

Problem:

Some wii games would have blank/black screen about 1-2 inch wide (column/vertically) at both sides of the TV.

SMG - good
wii sports - good
RE 4 - no good
Super Paper Mario - no good
Metroid Prime - no good

The games that are no good are listed as widescreen, so how come some games is truly full screen on my TV, and other games shows blank screen at both sides of TV.

Anyone has this same issue?

metroid prime 3 has no problems being displayed on my 42" LG LCD. the bars on the side means it's displaying 4:3 and not 16:9. make sure the wii is set to 16:9 and that you're using 480p (since you have components).

Of course, wii is setup to 480P and widescreen, and my TV is also displaying 16:9.

I've double checked my TV setting each time I play, so it is very strange some games shows full screen while other shows black bars on both sides (plus 4:3 screen is much more narrow than my problem, my problem only has about 1-2 inch black bar).

I doubt anyone has same issue as mine, it is one strange issue.

PS3 - full screen
PS2 - full screen
wii - full screen for some games only, even games listed as widescreen still has black bars.
