SSBB on US NTSC 3.0U Wii

I couldnt find anyone's solution to this problem so I appoligize in advance if this question has been asked before.

My Wii has a Wiikey installed, with 1.9g beta firmware. I disabled the wiikey using the 1.9b update crash method.

It is now able to Read an original copy of SSBB however once it starts loading it always freezes. I have tried the method to have it preloaded first but it insists on just freezing with a black screen or on the Now Loading... SSBB screen or on a blank white screen...depends on the mood of the wii I guess

Now, I had previously run and played SSBB in japanese when my wiikey was active and had run the update that ssbb prompts for
the US original copy of SSBB does not prompt me for any such update

I am curious if there is any way to clear that japanese update in hopes that it fixes this problem I am having

recover your wiikey back to 1.9g, and try the 70% corruption again. i can't confirm it'll work, since my wii isn't chipped, but it's worth a shot.
