AC Adapter question.

I just got my PSP (fat) and want to upgrade it. Unfortunately it didn't come with a charger. I checked on the net and the original PSP adapter is 5V/2A while the only thing I got is 5V/1A. Will I be able to start my PSP off of the 5V/1A adapter if I make a Pandora from my battery (I only have one)?
I know I could just plug it in and see but I don't want to brick it before I start downgrading the firmware.

yup it'll work, it'll charger slower thats for sure!
